At EXPLOZET, we provide professional digital marketing, website development, video production, video editing, and social media management services.

Because these services involve custom work, technical setup, planning, creative production, and dedicated professional time, our cancellation and refund terms are designed around the way digital projects actually work.

This policy explains when a project can be cancelled, which payments may be refunded, how duplicate or failed transactions are handled, and how to submit a formal refund request.

Our refund and cancellation process is intended to align with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, applicable Indian contract laws, and the operational requirements of our authorized payment gateway partner, Razorpay.

We aim to keep the process clear so you know what happens before starting a project or making a payment.

1. When and How Clients Can Cancel

Cancellation Before Work Begins

Cancellation Within 24 Hours

If you submit a formal written cancellation request within 24 hours of making the initial project advance, and our team has not yet started any project discovery, strategy, wireframing, copywriting, or staging-server configuration, you are eligible for an 80% refund of the advance payment.

The remaining 20% is retained by EXPLOZET to cover non-recoverable payment gateway charges, banking transaction costs, and initial administrative onboarding work.

To qualify, both conditions must be met:

  • The request must be made in writing within 24 hours of payment.

  • No project work or technical setup can have started.

Cancellation After Work Has Started

Once project work has begun, including activities such as:

  • Strategic research

  • Website wireframing

  • Code development

  • Video scripting

  • Media editing

  • Staging configuration

the 50% initial project advance becomes non-refundable.

This payment covers professional time and resources already committed by our development, design, creative, and content teams.

When a project is cancelled after work has started:

  • Work on the project will stop.

  • The Client will not be required to pay the remaining 50% milestone balance.

  • Draft designs, unfinished code, staging configurations, and raw script drafts created during the project remain the property of EXPLOZET and are not transferred to the Client.

Monthly Retainers

Social Media & Performance Marketing Services

Monthly services, including our ₹5,999, ₹8,999, and ₹14,999 packages, can be cancelled by providing written notice at least 7 business days before the beginning of the next 30-day billing cycle.

Once a new 30-day service cycle has started and work such as content planning, design production, publishing, or advertising management has begun, the payment for that active cycle is non-refundable and not eligible for a prorated credit.

This allows the monthly service to be planned and resourced properly from the beginning of each cycle.

2. Non-Refundable Circumstances

When a Refund Does Not Apply

Refunds are not available in the following situations.

1. Change of Mind After Development Begins

A refund will not apply when the Client decides to cancel, pause indefinitely, or substantially change the project after design mockups, code, video edits, or other project work have already been submitted or produced.

2. Delays Caused by the Client

A project that is delayed because the Client has not provided required information, assets, credentials, approvals, or feedback does not become refundable simply because the delivery timeline has been affected.

3. Advertising Spend Already Used

Advertising budgets paid directly to Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google, or another advertising platform are separate from EXPLOZET’s service fees.

Once those funds have been consumed by the advertising platform, they are non-refundable through EXPLOZET.

4. Domain Registrations and Third-Party Purchases

Payments made for third-party services that have already been registered, activated, consumed, or purchased specifically for the Client cannot normally be refunded.

This may include:

  • Domain registration

  • Premium SSL certificates

  • Premium software

  • Third-party licenses

  • Other non-reversible purchases made specifically for the project

5. Completed Projects and Final Deliverables

Once the final website has been launched on the Client’s live domain, full administrative credentials have been handed over, or the final high-definition master video files have been delivered, the applicable service sale is considered final and non-refundable.

3. Failed and Duplicate Payments

What Happens If a Payment Goes Wrong?

Payment problems can occasionally happen because of banking delays, connection issues, duplicate clicks, or communication problems between a bank and the payment gateway.

The following rules apply to those situations.

Duplicate Charges

If your bank account, card, or payment method is accidentally charged twice for the same invoice because of a technical error or multiple payment attempts, the duplicate amount will be reviewed against our transaction records.

Once the duplicate payment is verified, the excess amount will be refunded in full to the original payment method.

Failed Payment but Money Was Debited

If your bank account, card, or UPI account was debited but the payment page showed a Failed, Timeout, or similar unsuccessful status, do not immediately assume that the payment has been lost.

In these cases, the payment may be pending reconciliation between your bank and the payment gateway.

The funds are not treated as a successful EXPLOZET payment until the transaction is confirmed.

Where applicable, the bank and payment gateway process the reversal according to their settlement procedures.

The supplied policy states that such debited-but-unconfirmed transactions are expected to be returned to the original account within 3 to 7 business days.

For assistance, you can send your Bank Reference Number / UTR to:

billing@explozet.com

We can then check the available gateway transaction information and help confirm the status from the EXPLOZET side.

4. Refund Timeline and Payment Method

How Approved Refunds Are Processed

Refund requests go through a review process before a refund is initiated.

Step 1: Review & Verification

Within 2 business days

After receiving a formal written refund request by email, our billing and administrative team reviews the relevant:

  • Project timeline

  • Payment records

  • Milestones

  • Work already completed

  • Hours and resources committed

We will then provide a written response regarding the refund request.

Step 2: Refund Processing

5 to 7 business days after approval

Once EXPLOZET approves a refund, it is initiated through our authorized payment partner, Razorpay.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the transaction.

This may be the original:

  • Bank account

  • UPI ID

  • Debit card

  • Credit card

We do not issue approved refunds as cash payments or unrelated third-party bank transfers.

The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the Client’s account may depend on the issuing bank’s processing and clearing cycle.

The supplied policy provides an expected timeframe of 5 to 7 business days from the date the refund is initiated.
